Florida RV SuperShow
We have just completed presenting RV seminars at the five-day Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa Florida.
The show is held at the Florida State Fairgrounds. So, while we are working at the show we stay in one of the fairgrounds campsites that provide 50-amp electric, water and sewer hookups. The campsites are a bit close together but commuting to work is a piece of cake.
Our seminars take place in a big white tent. We do two seminars a day and it is not unusual for us to have up to 250 people in our audiences.
Vicki's new book "My RV Kitchen and Favorite Recipes" has become our best seller. One lady commented that what she liked best about the recipes is they are not fancy, gourmet meals but simply down to earth, good old-fashioned home cooking.
The Florida RV SuperShow is the biggest RV show in the nation. So big, the price of admission gives you a two-day ticket. It takes at least that much time to see all the RV exhibits and the four-hundred plus vendor and supplier booths.
One of the things that make working this show a pleasure (in addition to the show staff) is the fun atmosphere created by the presence of clowns, jugglers, musicians, magicians, barbershop quartets, and a marching bag-pipe band.
We also had the opportunity to socialize and have dinner with our good friends Bob and Cheryl Marx, and Jodie Ginter. Bob and Cheryl staff the Life on Wheels booth at the show. Jodie shows videos on travel destinations.
Monday morning (January 21) we will head for Titusville on the east coast of Florida. One of our destinations is the Kennedy Space Center. We have been there before and are looking forward to seeing it again. Vicki is looking forward to a meal one of her favorite seafood restaurants, Dixie Crossroads.
